Ascend Foundation Engagement Coordinator
The Opportunity
Ascend Foundation is seeking a Foundation Engagement Coordinator who will be responsible for assisting in Donor relations including tracking and development of a donor database and grants, creating and disseminating foundation and donor-facing materials for fundraising and helping to shape the organization's fundraising programs. The Engagement Coordinator will work closely with the Ascend Foundation (501c3) and Ascend (501c6) teams to ensure all plans are aligned with our joint objectives.
This position is ideal for an organized and service-minded individual with a passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and the desire to make a difference. The Engagement Coordinator will have the unique ability to work in a collaborative environment with cross organizational teams, gain exposure to multiple areas of the Foundation, and play a support role in helping to create and disseminate foundation and donor-facing materials while helping to shape the organization's fundraising programs.
Responsibilities:
The Engagement Coordinator will perform a full range of assignments including outreach, tracking and reporting.
This role will include the following responsibilities:
Enhance the Foundation donor database; manage and track entries for simple queries and reporting
Assist in development of planning elements and tactics for execution
Assist with promotional strategies and execution for Foundation fundraising initiatives and programs
Help to conceptualize and design Foundation email blasts
Manage donor mailings and tracking responses in donor database
Maintain calendar of monthly donor outreach and Foundation promotions/news integrated with overarching Ascend communications plan
Help formulate process for donor recognition
Assist with curating data and content for creation of annual donor impact report
Provide updates and maintenance requirements for the Foundation website (posting news stories, updating web pages, creating forms, etc.)
Research potential donors and grants for validation and pursuit
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, finance or equivalent
Minimum of two years of related experience (donor relations, fundraising/nonprofits or account management, marketing)
Proficient skills using Microsoft / Google office software/tools (spreadsheet, presentation, database, etc.); familiarity with Adobe suite and InDesign a plus
Strong interpersonal communication (written and verbal) and customer relationship skills
Self-starter and creative thinker
Employment Details
Full Time, Salary/Exempt position with a starting salary of $50,000- $60,000

Ascend is a remote organization with a highly collaborative geographically distributed team. This position will be based remotely in one of the states listed: CA, CT, FL IL, MN, NJ, NY, TX.
Occasional travel to support and attend events outside of regular business hours (typically no more than 5%).
