In 2022, close to 150,000 people were laid off (and the trend is expected to continue in 2023) by ~1000 tech companies. We estimate that tens of thousands of these affected workers are Pan-Asian H-1B visa holders who will need to leave the US unless they find other employers willing to hire them and transfer-in their H-1B visas.
